This wild köfte is original, super tasty and surprisingly easy to make. Delicious with couscous or flatbread for a warm summer evening.

Ingredients:
- 500 grams of minced deer
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red pepper, finely chopped
- 5 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- Small bunch of finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
- Lemon wedges
- Chopped parsley
- (vegan) tzatziki
- Hoummous
Preparation method:

In a large bowl, mix the minced venison, finely chopped onion, garlic, red pepper, breadcrumbs, fresh parsley, cumin, paprika powder, oregano, salt and pepper. Knead everything together well into a cohesive mixture.

Form the minced meat mixture into small elongated balls or oval shapes (köfte).

Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Fry the venison in batches, about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through in the center.

Serve the venison köfte warm, possibly with lemon wedges, chopped parsley and tzatziki on the side.
